What is wushuzilla.com (and to a lesser degree, narom.net)?

Waaay luckier than I deserve to be ...

Simply put, it is where I explore my various adventures related to my life in China, training in wushu, learning Chinese and all the things that go along with those activities.

More complexly put, having had a long history with wushu (going on 15 years now) I realize what a unique situation and opportunity I have being in China.  Not just training here, but the experiences I’ve had working for Jet Li, being friends with various wushu athletes and coaches, and being exposed to some things that most folks might not get to enjoy themselves.

I consider myself pretty lucky (while at the same time, trying to maintain a level-headed humility about the whole thing) but that by itself isn’t very pro-active.  So, I am going to be posting up my experiences, videos, photos and thoughts realted to my life here in China, especially with relation to wushu, so that all of you might be able to share in the experience.

They're not just tickling me. They're tickling all of you too!

I know a lot of other people come to China and train in wushu. And some of them even blog about it or post up some videos. But I’m really trying to go one step further and involve each of you in the day-to-day life that is Mark in China.  After all, nothing is quite so special as that which you share with your friends.

I hope you enjoy my journey as I attempt to dive deeper in to this painful sport that we all love so much, and try to feed the wushu monster inside us all.
